Les wind gongs ou gongs dits du vent sont traditionnellement fabriqués à la main en Chine en utilisant un alliage de bronze spécial. Ces gongs sont également connus sous le nom de Feng ou Sun Gong.
La forme est presque plate et la vibration du gong se répand très largement avec un long sustain. Le son caractéristique ressemble à un léger souffle de vent, ou à une tempête en jouant le gong avec plus de force.
