    Créées en 1968, les Controlled Sound (CS) Transparentes sont des peaux fabriquées avec un simple-pli de 10 millième d'épaisseur transparent (type Ambassador), avec un renfort rond noir de 5 millième d'épaisseur au centre de la face supérieure de la peau.

    Cette combinaison offre une sonorité controllée et précise, en éliminant les harmoniques indésirables. La surface extérieure produit une sonorité sensible plutot centrée sur les médiums, alors que le renfort ajoute précision tonale et une plus grande solidité, pour résister aux batteurs à la frappe appuyée.
