This new series continues Sabian's long tradition of sonic leadership and innovation in the industry. The 15" STRATUS hi-hat offers a precise attack with a semi-dark, warm diffusion. The light midrange and heavy midrange bottom are the perfect combination for a crisp, clear attack with a slight, airy diffusion. The 19" STRATUS crash is fast and controlled, with a lower tone and explosive attack. Its light weight allows for a fast decay with a deep sound, perfect for today's music. The 22” ride is articulate with a warm underlying tone, which evolves into a controlled wash and a clear, powerful bell. Its light medium weight provides a perfect balance between stick-like play and a crashable tone.

Sabian was created in 1981 in Canada by Robert Zildjian. Robert had left the Zildjian company after a disagreement with his brother Armand, but their father Avedis Zildjian III had passed on his family secrets to his two sons. This sharing of manufacturing secrets explains the proximity of certain Sabian and Zildjian series, in particular the AA and HH series which were the first 2 series originally manufactured by Sabian. Currently the AA, AAX, HH and HHX series are the foundations of all Sabian series: SBR, B8X, XSR, FRX, FRX, HH, AA, HHX, AAX, Crescent, Paragon and Artisan
