Created in 2001, the HHX range is a modern version of the HH range. Made in B20 bronze, HHX cymbals have a particular type of hammering which allows for rich and dark harmonics while providing a modern and warm projection.

In the HHX range, the Legacy and Evolution models have become standards.

Sabian was created in 1981 in Canada by Robert Zildjian. Robert had left the Zildjian company after a disagreement with his brother Armand, but their father Avedis Zildjian III had passed on his family secrets to his two sons. This sharing of manufacturing secrets explains the proximity of certain Sabian and Zildjian series, in particular the AA and HH series which were the first 2 series originally manufactured by Sabian. Currently the AA, AAX, HH and HHX series are the foundations of all Sabian series: SBR, B8X, XSR, FRX, FRX, HH, AA, HHX, AAX, Crescent, Paragon and Artisan
